Prerequisites and Eligibility For Training
Candidates must have at least five years of cumulative, full-time work experience in two or more of the eight CISSP domains.
A four-year college degree or an approved credential (e.g., Security+, CISM) can waive one year of the required experience.
If lacking the required experience, candidates can pass the exam and become an Associate of (ISC)², gaining six years to meet the work experience requirement.
Strong understanding of information security concepts, risk management, cryptography, and network security is recommended.
Candidates must agree to the (ISC)² Code of Ethics and background verification process.
While not mandatory, official CISSP training from (ISC)² or accredited providers is highly recommended for better exam preparation.
